For the upcoming 2008 CEU Renewal Cycle, contractors will be required to take 5 core hours (seen below) and 9 general hours to meet their 14 hour requirement. The general hours will be similar to what we have done in the past, where we taught topics such as estimating, scheduling or financial management.
      5 core hours
1 hour Advanced Building Code
1 hour Worker’s Compensation
1 hour Business Practices
1 hour Safety
1 hours Laws & Rules

New contractors that received their license as of September 1, 2006 but before September 1, 2007 will only need 7 hours of continuing education. These 7 hours don’t need to be the 5 core hours listed above, but instead can be 7 general hours mentioned earlier. As for contractors that received their license as of September 1, 2007 but before September 1, 2008, they don’t need to take any CEU hours as part of the 2008 renewal cycle. For all new contractors, however, they are required to take 4 hours of Advanced Building Code courses. These 4 hours of courses will apply to their CEU requirements.

While we are not currently offering any continuing education classes at this time, we are planning on offering both live and online courses for the 2008 Renewal Cycle. Please check back later this year to see what we will be offering for the next Renewal Cycle.
