Contractor Exam Prep Courses

Have you wanted to get your Contractor’s license?

Well, one of the first things you need to do is to take the Florida’s Contractor’s License Exam.

Most of these exams are computer-based exams administered by Pearson Vue which are given 6 days a week. You will still need to register for the exam with Professional Testing, Inc (PTI).

After signing up to take the exam, we recommend that our students buy their books. Since the exam is an open book exam, we feel that the more familiar the students are with the books, the better they do on the exam.

Finally, you might think about taking a class. We offer classes for most license categories and each are listed below.

Roofing Contractor’s Exam Prep

Our four day Exam Prep class for Roofers is a live class that teaches you the skills for one of the most difficult exams the state offers.

The course is broken up into two days of trades material (roofers only) and two days of business and finance.

There are a lot of schools out there that combine other licenses with roofers. WE DON’T. We feel that Roofers have a unique exam that deserves our complete attention. Consider taking this unique class.

Underground Utilities Contractor’s Exam Prep

Our four-day Exam Prep class for Underground Utility Contractors caters to the needs of Underground Utility Contractors only. The course is broken up into two days of Trades material (underground contractors only) and two days of Business and Finance.

As one of the few schools that provide a live class for Underground Utility Contractors, don’t miss out on our enthusiastic instruction where we teach you the skills necessary to pass this difficult exam.

Plumbing Contractor’s Exam Prep

Our four-day Exam Prep class for Plumbing Contractors only will provide you with the skills to pass this difficult exam.

The course is broken down into two days of trades material and two days of Business and Financial material. The Trades portion of the class includes a hands-on session of “How to draw your Isometric Drawings.”

We are one of the few schools that provides a live course for Plumbing Contractors. We know what it takes to pass the exam and we enjoy teaching. Our knowledge of construction and enthusiastic teaching style will make the difference.

Mechanical / Air A / Air B / Sheet Metal Contractor’s Exam Prep

We are pleased to bring our expertise in teaching to yet another group of licenses. Like all of our exam prep courses, this class is broken down into two days of Trades and two days of Business and Finance.

The Trades portion of the course will only have Mechanical, Air A and Air B Contractors in the classroom.

Since this exam is no easier and perhaps harder than all of the other licenses that we teach, you might want to consider taking our prep course.

Solar Contractor’s Exam Prep

After being requested by several roofing contractors, we are now pleased to offer a live trades class for Solar Contractors.

Our 4-day course covers both the difficult topics of plumbing, photovoltaics and electrical work in the two Trades days and the accounting and law material during the two Business & Finance days.

This class is not regularly scheduled. Call us to arrange a date and time to fit your needs!

Since there aren’t many schools that have a live trades course, you might want to consider taking our 2-day course.

Pollutant Storage Contractor’s Exam Prep

Our four day Exam Prep class for Pollutant Storage Contractors is a live class that teaches you the skills necessary to pass.

The course is broken up into two days of trades material (Pollutant Contractors only) and two days of business and finance.

Many other schools combine other licenses with pollutant contractors. WE DON’T. We feel that Pollutant Storage contractors have a unique exam that deserves our complete attention. Consider taking this unique class.

Glass & Glazing Contractor’s Exam Prep

This exam is unique from any other state exam, because not all of the questions asked come from the open-book reference material. There are eight other books that the state recommends that you study prior to the exam.

While we don’t currently offer any classes for this license at this time, we strongly encourage students to get the supplementary reference material and study this prior to the exam.

Commercial / Residential / Service Pool Contractor’s Exam Prep

There are three licenses which we have collectively included under this section for pool contractors.

The total 4-day courses would include 2-days of Business & Finance and 2-days of Trades. Each license would be conducted as a separate 2-day Trades course in order to cover the unique aspects with each.

Since this is now offered as a computer-based exam, students need to call in to our office to work out a possible class date for Trades classes. As a result, there may only be one student in a class at a time.
